don't wanna be the one to pick up pieces
from somebody else's mess
somebody else's problem
you're not my problem.
its not my duty to
mend your heart or save you...
see, I can imagine exactly
what's running through your head,
" how could she be so cruel,
so careless, for the lost souls of the south?"
how about I
paint a picture for you?
a girl and a boy,
its in the fall.
dark and tan skin,
not very tall.
he's got brown eyes.
she's got them too,
but not the same hue.
something in his
makes her think
this could be the ride of a lifetime.
he's unfaithful
so face it,
it's an inevitable end.
she was oblivious
to someone she believed to be her friend.
he feels pity for her,
and so she reels him in.
well, I'm an unforgiving person..
screw me over once,
don't wait for me to come
back again.
this is what I
- this is what SHE -
believed in.
a couple of months
down the road
after the smoke has cleared...
she looks beside her
and sees the same pattern unfolding.
but his eyes are lighter
the hues still the same.
deja vu,
no surprise.
how does she explain?
she's been here before.
been there before.
and, two days is just not
enough to ignore he's been..
unfaithful
so face it,
it's an inevitable end.
she was oblivious
to someone she believed to be her friend.
he feels pity for her,
and so she reels him in.
well, you should be an
unforgiving person.
if someone the screws you over
don't you dare ever go back again.
I don't want you to make the same mistakes
that I did..
that she did..
that we did.
if he's been unfaithful,
face it its an inevitable end.
but don't let your heart
make you too oblivious
to see and do what's good for it.
and don't feel pity for them,
they were never truly your friends..
but, you should try to
be a forgiving person.
if anything,
that's the thing
that kept me sane
in the end.
